Is it ok to put pimple cream on a cold sore?
this is the 1st time ive gotten a cold sore at least thats what i think it is..its on the the outside of my bottom lip. I did have a little cold and thats when this pimple or cold sore appeared. i put a on the spot acne cream on it and wondering if it’ll make it worse?. Any1 know what else i can put on it to get rid of it asap!? and if its ok to put a pimple cream on it?.
The absolute best treatment is any cream containing 5%w/w Acyclovir. Acyclovir is an antiviral drug. Brand names here include Zovirax and Blistex. You put the cream on 5 times per day as soon as you feel the first tingle of a cold sore and it won’t develop. It’s brilliant! Look at this site for further information.

I don’t know where you are but shop around, as I find Blistex is half the price of Zovirax and has exactly the same acyclovir content.
