people that deal with ACNE????!! important news!
i have been battling acne for four years and in those four years have tried EVERY possible over-the-counter medicines, home treatments, topical ointments, antibiotics, etc. and my dermatologists have never ordered blood tests to be done to find the underlying cause of my acne.
I went to a new derm. last week who sent me to get a blood test on my hormones- testosterone, LH, FSH, DHEAS, prolactin, and a couple more that i cannot remember.
It turns out that my DHEAS(androgen) level was DOUBLE the amount that its supossed to be which has been causing my acne for the past four years!! (AND I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THIS )
I now have made an appointment with the endocrinologist so that we can work on lowering my DHEAS level.
so… before you start using treatments that can do more harm for you than good (ANTIBIOTICS, harsh topicals) i urge you to get a blood test to test all your hormones first and work from there!!
that’s not really a question. but if you’re still dealing with acne, use Differin, it works like a charm
