huge pimple on forehead
HUGE pimple on my forehead!!!!!?

great…i have an enormous redish purple pimple on my forhead and its horrible!!!

also, when i tried to pop it, white stuff didn’t come out. clear gooey liquid came out instead…whats the gooey liquid??!!

The liquid usually appears after the puss or right before it.
Do not play with it – and if it gets white you can stick a sterile needle in the center. I don’t always suggest this but you can do this (if you are going to pop it).

First take a very warm compress to it. Repeat if it is just red and not filled with fluid. Wash your face with an acne wash or pure and natural soaps.
Add peroxide and it should settle down tomorrow.

If not repeat the above and before you let your face get washed apply the sterile needle (sewing needle) to the center and wash it with peroxide –

Try to treat it with the wash rag (warm) and acne wash.

baby acne breast milk
Crazy or pregnant?

My husband had a vasectomy 5 years ago and for the past 2 years we have been having regrets. We want more children and are researching adoption or getting a reversal. I recently stopped smoking with the help of Chantix and I am thinking maybe all of my symptoms are coming from that but I need someone elses input so I don’t drive my husband crazy! First, I noticed my period only lasted 2 days with a little spotting on the third day. Then a few days after my period, while taking a bath, I noticed breast milk leaking from one of my breasts. Out of curiosity I squeezed to see if I was seeing things…but I can actually get milk out of both breasts! I took a pg test and it was neg. There are numerous other symptoms, for instance, weight gain…I feel like my hips are spreading and my belly is getting bigger…big enough that my clothes don’t fit. I have been really emotional…I have acne more than usual…I would love to have another baby but I think I might just be crazy!

you could be thinking about it to much and be imagining that you are pregnant but if i were you i would wait a couple days and take another test and if it is still neg. i would go to the doctors and see what the problem is. hopefully it is a baby that would be great :)

fatty foods pimples
What is the pathophysiology of pimples in relation to eating fatty foods?

Could anyone explain the pathophysiology why eating fatty foods, like the fat in pork, results to having pimples in people who are prone to such skin problem?

Science is not so developed to pin-point the exact cause or rule out something else. But it is noticed in various circumstances why pimples erupt favourably. They are as follows
A) Hormonal changes – occurring during puberty, menstrual periods, pregnancy, and while people start or stop using birth control pills will mostly aggravate pimples. The male sex hormone testosterone (also found in women) triggers the sebaceous glands to produce excess sebum, making the skin greasy, which in turn causes pimples.
· Period of Puberty – Is pimple a sign of puberty? It occurs in both sexes due to excess sebum production, but predominately occurs in females
· Premenstrual symptom – Is pimple an indicator of periods? Mostly in women, pimples are more frequently worsened at the time of menstruation

B) Bacteria – The most common bacteria which cause pimples are Propionibacterium acne, Corynebacterium acne, Staphylococcus albus and Pityrosporon ovale.
C) Foods and intakes – Oily, fatty, pastry, spicy and fast foods, chocolates, nuts, and milk produce more sebum, leading to more pimples.
Bromine and iodine salts’ intake or medicines containing these substances, which are mainly used for cold, sedative and as analgesic, will also cause pimples.
D) Environment – Increased exposure to ultraviolet rays (sun exposure) and also environmental irritants such as pollution and high humidity will also cause pimples.
E) Hereditary factors – It is often found to run in families
F) Physical and mental stress – may aggravate the condition for a flare-up.
G) Cosmetics-Greasy cosmetics stick to the skin and form a plug in pore-causing pimples
H) Infection- Dental sepsis and sinusitis sometimes cause pimples.
